We initiated GIRLS UNITE INC looking at statistic on how many girls are getting abused, peer pressure to do drugs and getting bullied.

Below are some statistics we found significant to mention:

  • According to victimsofcrime.org, about 1 in 5 girls are victims of sexaul abuse.
  • Girls are three times more likely to experience depression, found from Fact Tank news in the Numbers from Pew Research Center.
  • According to Heart of leadership, statistics on Girls : 74% of girls say they feel pressured by everyone.
  • According to Brooklyn Moffitt, about 1 out of 4 or 25%5 or girls get peer pressured into doing drugs, 30% of students are pressured into doing drugs in middle or high school.
  • According to the US Department of Education every 1 out of 5 students in school get bullied. Within that many females are bullied by rumors rather than external force.
